Just wondering if anyone here uses stock companies eg Getty etc? If so have you sold anything? how much have you made? (if you don't mind sharing?) what has been your most popular image? just being nosey really

I use the microstock agences, istock, shutterstock, dreamstime, etc. If you plan to make money from it you need to have lots of pictures online, at the moment for me I've only being doing it for a year now and it pays for new kit from time to time.

I don't use microstock, I just think that for my effort, it's not worth the return and I feel I'd be devaluing myself.

I'm registered with Alamy, which gives a not-half-bad return.

I think with Getty there are lots of ladders to climb before you can get registered with them

True its very hard to get into Getty, Istock are now owned by Getty and members who have had something like 100,000 downloads are invited into Getty that way.
