Still Open All Hours

I dont watch/have tv, so watched it on iplayer the day after it was shown, it was the only program I'd ear marked to watch and I think he did Ronnie Barker proud given the fact that they tried to cram a series into a one off, I hope they do a series, it would be good to see how it pans out and I liked that Granville had morphed into a combination of both his and Arkwrights characters
 
I enjoyed it, but it was more of a tribute than an episode really though.

That they could make something from that far back and still generate a laugh is testimony to the genius of the original though.

Definitely could have been worse though - several other similar attempts with comedy classics have been far worse...
 
I'm with the "it was awful" camp. The picture of Ronnie Barker as Arkwright on the wall was the funniest bit.
 
It is though essentially like the first episodes of any new series - they take time to warm up and settle in if they are any good. I think a new series would run better than this rushed one off, though I enjoyed it.
