Sticky Focus Ring

The focus ring on my Sigma 17-70 lens is sticky. just wondered if anyone had seen this before and if its an easy fix or is it gonna cost me an arm and a leg to get repaired.

Also on the same lens the zoom is quite loose and if holding with the lens pointing down it zooms out on its own
