stick with canon or change to Nikon?

Phil and Ivan, as pretty as both your handbags are, could we put them away now please guys and move on. The actual question seems to be what Nikon alternative, and yes, it was poorly phrased but there is no need for an entire thread dedicated to arguing the semantics [pedantics?] of it. Thankyou

Sorry.
I have no idea what gave me that idea?
Ooh maybe it was...

Now if you feel it's irrelevant, why did you give it as the only reason to dismiss the obvious choice :bang: :bang: :bang:

simply a statement as he or myself have never used cf cards and as stated earlier i have plenty of sd cards to use, thats not saying anyone is against or not prepared to change if need be, there is no need to make an issue of it but I suppose there's always one :bonk:

Well he gave his reason and asked what Nikon to go for, are we here to pick him to pieces or give him the advice he asked for?
It seems Ivan there's one in every forum that picks holes in peoples comments, they must get a kick out of it? what sad lives they must lead.
I hope everyone else can understand we're not dismissing anything that takes cf cards, sd are just preferable as thats what he's used to and has plenty of but quite happy to buy cf cards if thats what the prefered camera takes but its really not an issue. He hasn't dismissed canon but would like to know what the Nikon alternatives are, maybe i should have rewritten the op but i hope that is clear enough.

Has anyone been able to compare the 7d/d7000/7100 is there much between them?

You didn't read my comment then? I had already asked them to stop, retaliatory posts really don't help the forum move on from arguments, so that's what we have the RTM button for. Could you think about using it next time, thanks. :)

It seems the thread had already gone awol but yes i apologise though i wish these out for an argument people wouldn't do these things. Its ruined the post and it seems some have a habit of doing this and get away with it:shrug: having read quite a few threads one has involved themselves in

Well the D7100 is the preferred choice for wildlife because of it's crop plus high megapixels, D7100 seems the obvious choice here

Have to agree, my Brother has just bought the D7100 and I am really impressed with it.

Seen so many of these posts, it's pointless asking on here because people will just suggest the brand of camera they own. I knew what sort of comments would be here before I opened it.

mr bill, my point is that someone else sent us a message about this thread, I came in and asked them both to stop [and that seems to have happened], and allow the thread to get back on course. The only person now derailing it is you by continuing commenting on the debate and in particular on one person involved. So, perhaps the subject can now be dropped by everyone and your question answered instead. :)

I always feel comparisons are tricky as you're basically comparing Ferrari to Aston Martin, totally different manufacturers but each car has it's own perks....
I would literally ask your friend to go to a shop and actually play with the bodies, at the end of the day our opinion on here won't help too much. Check out youtube and look for Sample image comparisons of the models he is keen on (there's a crap load out there).

I would only suggest Canon because I'm a Canon person, I know the ins and outs of my bodies - if you gave me a Nikon I would probably have no idea how to use it to be honest!

Actually no I was merely stating what I'd observed

By stating what you observed after it has already been dealt with by moderation, you are continuing to derail the thread. Yvonne has asked you to move on, continuing to argue with a moderator will not help in the slightest.

enough said thread ended as far as i'm concerned my friend appreciates the few comments that were helpful but has decided not to join the forum due to the obvious
