I am considering buying a ND Filter around the ND4/8 mark (or even higher).

My current lenses - and filter sizes - are as follows.

lens Filter
16-70 67mm
10-20 82mm
70-300 67mm
105 62mm
85 62mm
50 52mm

I know I could go the Cokin route with holders etc, but really want just 1 or maybe 2 screw in filters.

Any advice on best size to get and thoughts on step up/down rings to give me the most options would be appreciated.

Main lens I would be using I suppose is the 10-20 and the 16-70 in order to get some long exposures of water, clouds etc. But would use other lenses ocassionally for similiar subjects or to get wide f-stops during day.

Thanks in advance

John

You can get step up rings off eBay. Buy the rings required so that each lens can use the 82mm filters.

I have just done this so that all my lenses use 77mm filters

Only problem I have found is the exorbitant price of 82mm filters!!! So may take your tip and just gtet one for my 16-70mm and make use of that..or a Cokin square filter for my wide angle.

Nothing cheap is there! But Ebay for rings is a good call!

Cheers
