Does anyone know what time it will pass through Bournemouth? I've looked on the Swanage site but the best I can find is it starts from London at 8-00 am & arrives in Swanage at 1.15 pm. Thanks for any help.

They often run late so don't be supprised if those times are aprox, also if you can get it on an uphill climb it's be staeming harder, so more smoke/steam usually. Wayne

Thanks for the advice. We've been out looking at possible sites. We've found one where it will be just coming out of the station, so hopefully it will have to stop or slow at the station.

Well it came 20 minutes early, taking us all by surprise. I hadn't set up the camera & I had a good spot, if my wife had got back with some small steps, so I struggled pointing over a high wall.:(:D

You can always drive over this way from B'Mouth though. The steam train runs from Norden to Swanage on a regular timetable, and there's plenty of places to catch it, not forgetting the other togging opportunities over this way: Corfe Castle, Swanage itself, Lulworth Cove, Durdle door, Stair Hole, plus more landscaping that you can shake a stick at.

Thanks, I plan to go over a few times this summer.
