Starting again. Some lens advice please.

Hi all, I have recently sold my Canon 550d with kit lens and 18-200mm. The Canon was my first dslr nearly 2 years ago and has served me well. I also bought the 18-200mm for convenience and that was also good for what I wanted.

I am now looking at starting again with lenses and quality in mind at reasonable cost. Going to full frame in the future does not concern me and even if I did it wouldn't be for a number of years yet.

I am looking at the following kit:
Canon 60D
Canon 15-85mm is usm for walkabout and main lens.
Canon 100-400mm is usm for telephoto.
Canon 40mm stm for prime.
I already have Canon 430 flash which I love.

I feel this is a strong setup to cover all areas as I shoot landscapes, parties, motorsport, wildlife and portraits.

Opinions on this setup ot how I could change it and with what would be appreciated.

If image quality is a major factor for you I would consider the 17-55 f2.8 (200 more I think) but huge upgrade, and the 70-200 2.8 mrkII. The duck tape of lenses in my opinion. If I had to only have one lens that would be 70-200 markII.
I had the 17-55 and absolutely loved it. The only reason I sold it was because I went full frame. I have the new 24-70 markII now as a replacement to that lens and it is an upgrade but truthfully not a huge upgrade. That 17-55 was fast and tack sharp.

I think would look at the sigma 17-70os lens its a good all rounder and to be honest i would stay with the 550d and up the lenses. i would add also that i don't think stm works with the 60d

another vote for the 17-55 f2.8, used mine on a 40d and was very impressed.
Would a 70-200 and 1.4 TC give you more versatility (thinking of your portraits) at the sacrifice of having to crop in a bit?

Yet another vote for the 17-55 2.8! Great lens and only got rid of it as I was switching from Pentax to Fuji.
