Starter lights for garden flowers?

A couple of days ago I saw a thread that someone had started on TP that showed both their setup and a resulting photo of a poppy in the garden. I have searched for the thread but cannot remember the name.

Anyway a day or two later I get the urge to do something similar. He used a black t-shirt as a backdrop and I'm guessing a brolly, light and light stand - so I guess my question is 'What lighting kit do I need?'

Unfortunately vague. If anyone can either help with the sort of kit or remember the thread, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks - I thought I had done the same search but obviously not! At least now I know and I think you for that also.
