I have just found out that a long standing member of Talk Photography Dave Fitzgibbon (STARRIDER) has sadly passed away after a short battle with cancer.

Been on many meets with Dave and he was a lovely chap. RIP

We were both in Brighton on a one day photography course many years years ago, and he was such an entertaining bloke to be with. I guess I'm glad it was a short battle rather than a long one. Thanks for the memories Dave, and RIP.

Shared many hours on London meets with Dave. His eye for street photography with a laid back approach was brilliant. Will be sadly missed.

I met him a couple of times on some of my organised London outings, lovely chap even if he was a Canon user!

Sad news.
Dave was the first person from the forum I met in person.
He was sitting on the sea wall with his daughter and Billingham bag at Southend seafront and gave me such a warm welcome.
