Star Wars Stuff

As always, with a lot of these Disney+ shows (whatif, wandavision, book of boba), it starts off way too slow. I stopped watching for a few episodes at around 3/4. I just couldn't care less about the Third Sister.

Looking forward to Mando though, although slow, this series is always good with pacing. Even in slower bits, it's interesting space western.

I watched the first two episodes of Andor last night and have to say was pretty disappointed with the story line. I guess time will tell if it's worth watching the rest.

The first two were really just setting things up. It ramped up a lot in episode 3.

Wooo, what a finale (Andor). I now want to join the rebellion and take on the Empire :exit:

Edit: on reflection, I think it's the build-up throughout the series that made the finale so impactful. Taken out of context, the speech wouldn't have so much weight.

Aye it does get a lot better.

@Ricardodaforce & @gman - You were right. Andor was really good in the end ... can't wait for series 2 :)

I just about to watch the last episode now. Unlike all the other ones, with Andor I made the mistake of starting to watch it when it had only realised Episode 4, so I couldn't binge watch it.

Back I go then!

I thought Andor was excellent, possibly the best Star Wars ever. The acting by everyone was a step up, especially from the movies, and the story telling sets a bar that they (Disney) may struggle to reach again.

And all the better for not having any of the 'new' Jedi abilities, and indeed the 'force' itself.

This is a Star Wars story about the people, and how subjugation, tyranny and oppression may only be taken for so long, before people rebel.

I could do with 4 more years of this building up to the events of Rogue One, rather than what they have planned, with 3 episodes each covering a year or so of the next series. And a next series that is 2 years away. :$ :(

It is a low start, but builds to a stunning finale. The advice I have seen is to watch the first three episode as if it were one thing, and I think I would agree with that.

Rather than watching Rogue One again before the series, I decided to wait till it was over. Looking forward to it now. :)

I have mixed feelings about the films.......

After seeing The Return Of Skywalker and Solo I made a conscious decision not to watch any more SW films. The series had lost the humour and creativity of the first 3 films particularly, and even the second 3 were strong in comparison. Rather than dilute further what had been an excellent series, it seemed best to draw a line there and move on.

Those last 3 films of the Skywalker saga are atrocious.

The recent TV shows are so much better.

Just started Mandalorian Season 3 and had a bit of a wtf moment and then remembered the Book of Boba Fett! lol
