Hi all - Having seen a number of brilliant images using the Star Wars Lego figures, I fancy having a go myself. One thing that has struck me though, is the cost of the little figures. They seem to be going on Ebay for nearly £4.00ea. :gag:

I'd like to get hold of quite a number of the storm troopers along with a few of the main characters such as Darth Vader, Luke, Lea etc etc.

Does anyone know the best place to get hold of these, or are they just bloody expensive even second hand?

just in high demand in general unfortunately.

rather than doing the star wars lego thing - why not try with either generic lego charachters or those of another theme like harry potter lego etc?

I particularly want to do the Star Wars as I've grown up on the original trilogy so really enjoy the humorous side to what are really serious characters.

Looks like I may have to splash the cash, or raid my nieces toy box!

maybe ask on a lego forum in exchange for a copy of the pictures?

I bought some lego star wars when it first came out - 1999/2000 ish and luckily managed to keep hold of it past the chuck everything out eyes of SWMBO, so have done some photos though they are not the best.

I was shocked at how expensive it is now, I remember paying £15 odd for an x-wing and no more than £25 for a y-wing/tie bomber combo.

They go on Ebay now for more than I paid for them.

If you want to buy packs with charaters, then the Lego website is good, though expensive. Every now and again you can get stuff reduced at tesco/sainsburys.

Dunno about that Lego and star wars are different, pics may be worth more than the figures depending on creativity ;)

Not mine :'(

Darth and Luke got an easy win in the Father and Son Wheelbarrow race....

I liked the sky scraper builders shots  my sister had that on her wall, I liked them all really

Wow I have a few original models early x-wing, tie-fighter and slave 1 :-) hope all the pieces are there still in boxes as well.

Love Lego but really tempted to sell at those prices eek!

Might need to take a few photos first though.

Love these ideas. I've seen some absolutely brilliant shots over the last couple of years, and I'm always jealous of those who have all the props to hand!

Maybe I need to dig out all my old Lego and do some non-Star Wars work!
