Hi Guys,

I've never done landscape photography as such but since I've purchased a fuji 16mm lens I thought I'd have a good go at it. I watched a few tutorials and one of the guys I liked stated that he used a polariser, 6 stop nd filter and also a .9 graduated filter. You could only see the graduated filter from the angle the video was shot and it was square. My question is can they be used with screw in types as I have read some reviews and was going to buy the hoya pro nd type. How would I go about using the graduated filter with this?

Regards

Scott

I use screw in NDs and rectangular grads, I just attach the filter holder to the thread on the ND if I want to use both together.

There are some screw in grads, like the Hoya ND10, but there have a fixed position of the grad change and are less useful than slide in grads.

You just have to be careful with wide angle lenses that you don't obscure the field of view with the holder.

I too have Fuji's and am happy with Hitech Firecrest NDs and the Hitech 85mm slide in system, but my largest lens thread is 67mm, and all my filters are based on 72mm so I use step rings where appropriate,

Thanks for this. I did look at the firecrest filters and I think actually that was what the guy was using. I might look at them. If I remember correctly the 16mm is a 67 filter thread also.
