Well not quite outside but very close. News story here


Not something you would expect in a quiet town. Police are still out there now.
 
A man believed to be in his 30s has died following an incident in a North Somerset town.

I arrived after the man was taken away but got a couple of shots of the area. Not very good ones, it was just going dark so had the ISO settings very high. I was going to go back but when I heard he died I decided against it as it's a bit insensitive, especially being a neighbour.

I heard so more news (although it could be chinese whispers). The man was stabbed by his next door neighbour while trying to escape the police doing a drugs raid on their house. Presumably to steal the car, as that was what the csi was going through when I arrived.
 
That's not good. It's always quite sobering when something like this happens near where you live. Last year a woman was sexually assaulted and stabbed in the woods near my house, and more recently, the landlord of a local pub murdered his wife and kept her body for 3 days. What a sad and twisted world we live in.

At least we all know where you live now ;)
 
I'd recommend you remove the exact location of your house as well. I sure as hell wouldn't want my address on the internet!

Yeah the boogy man might come and get you! :p To be honest it is very hard to keep your address off the net, I have given up trying now, must be about 20 websites now with my address listed on the whois info :(
 
Was staying in London one night and heard the sirens without thinking much of it, turn on the local news in the morning and my hotel is displayed as the scene of a knifing :|

Makes you think doesn't it ...

What's wrong with a WHOIS opt out? Still, if you're happy to have things like your date of birth and address out there in a forum, so be it!
 
You can only opt out for personal websites as I understand it. Anyway back on topic...yeah it is scary what can happen on your door step :|
