I am going to find myself in St Annes and Fleetwood over the weekend. Can anyone recommend anywhere worth shooting in the vicinity?

Blackpool is between St Annes and Fleetwood, some fairly interesting large sculptures on the prom, some interesting street-life and the illuminations are on at the moment I think.

I think Fleetwood is now well shot, and St Annes not far behind...

The wrecks at fleetwood are interesting

There are some wrecks at fleetwood that are well worth shooting. Just look them up. Even Blackpool has some interesting views depends on the way you look at things. St Anne's has the pier and the old part that's left again right light and it's a good shot enjoy

There's also `The windmill` at Lytham.
RSPB @ Fairhaven lake. Also always a Spitfire in the air very nearby.
Plenty of helicopters & light aircraft still use b/puddle airport.

Near the shell are other sculptures which can make interesting compositions. Plenty of things along the coast through Blackpool but with the lights it will be busy (strange that very few people sing it's praises but it still seems to be very busy). Whilst the idea of walking or driving along to see the lights does nothing for me it's a great place for street photography and long exposures. Subject to the tides there are plenty of opportunities from along the shore rather than the prom. The windmill at Lytham would have been good a week ago with some decent sunsets, decent cloud and a good moon but not sure I'd bother now. There's Skippool Creek for plastic whales, yachts, wrecks and some interesting woodwork.

I stayed down by the windmill and had a walk along the front. There was my favouritest thing ever down there - abandoned boats and tractors! Well worth a visit.

Thanks for the tips.
