I’ve been looking at the SRB elite filter holders. https://www.srb-photographic.co.uk/elite-filter-holder-11212-p.asp
They look interesting, they seem to have a drop in for their elite polariser with a rotation dial at the bottom, looks interesting.
Has anyone tried it? I have their circular 1000nd and have used it for a few years now, works fine. Starting to find the screwing off and on of filters a pain recently, especially if I’m using 2! This sort of system might be worth a look

Good evening, I use the SRB Elite filter system and have some great results from it. The polariser screws into the filter holder, leaving room for two drop in filters. They also make a screw in 10 stop ND filter. My set up is usually the screw in polariser, an 6 or 10 stop drop in filter along with a 2 or 3 stop soft grad. To use the drop in 6 or 10 stop drop in ND filters you MUST use either the Elite Shield( https://www.srb-photographic.co.uk/elite-shield-12246-p.asp )or the screw in polariser.

I was looking at this set up myself a couple of months back. I would have bought it too but realised that the 85mm dimension would have caused vignetting on my 16mm full frame lens so left it in the end. If using a 24mm equiv lens though (and above) I reckon its a pretty nifty filter option.

That’s what I was thinking. I use a a6000 at the moment. I have thought about going full frame, mainly because the wide zoom lenses seem better. The only lenses I have at the moment are the 16-55 kit lens, the 35mm 1.8 and a samgyang 12mm. Couldn’t use it for the 12mm but I’ve used that less and less lately.
The kit lens does a decent job but the 35mm is so much sharper and has better contrast. Maybe I should hold off until I decide on full frame.

Thanks :). Those are great photos!
My main issue is composing, focusing, putting the filter on, moving to a different spot, taking the filter off and so on. Plus my polariser and 10 stop are different thread sizes so I can’t stack them.
As I said above I’d overlooked the vignette in full frame wider lenses...not that I need to upgrade just yet but I’m not sure about getting say the a6500 to be stuck with the same lenses.
