Hello and welcome to my 2011 52 project. I'm not following the themes, I am basing my images each week on what I am best at - wildlife photography.

I think this crop may be a little to tight, I'd have liked to see more of the swan and its reflection in the water.

Well done on taking the challenge to do your own 52, good luck! And I look forward to seeing your photos.

I have to agree with Mark, regards seeing more of the swan in the reflection, although I understand that is not always possible if the pic was taken close to the edge.

I am still on a learning curve myself, but from what I can see you seem to have the WB, sharpness and focus right.

Love how the feathers on the neck are a little ruffled, giving it texture.

Well done on your first of 52, keep it up and look forward to your next 51.

Im sure the swan finds the water accommodating, although your not foloowing the themes, it fits this weeks

Like the shot as it is.

Everyone has a swan swimming on water (pretty standard for a swan) but this feels like the swan is entering the scene

Lovely shot - you have captured the gracefulness of the swan.

Excellent exposure of a difficult subject (more so than many people realise)

The detail in the feathers is spot on.

I would prefer the more traditional reflection showing the full bird rather than it being cut off.
