Hi All

My site is hosted by Squarespace and I dont use wordpress as everything is done in terms of SEO headings, sitemap etc by squarespace.

However, when it comes to content writing squarespace doesn't flag whether the post is optimised for SEO. Yoast does.

What I would like to do is use wordpress / yoast for writing the article, and then , when yoast gives the green light its optimised copy and paste it to my squarespace site.

Can I run wordpress and yoast even though I don't have a website hosted / built with wordpress.

Thanks all

When I started out with SEO I used Yoast religiously. Now I realise that to get all green lights in Yoast often meant my post wasn't as easy to read as I'd like.

So now I just write what I want and I try if possible to get my keyword in the first paragraph.

To answer directly your question then yes. You can use something like MAMP to run a local Wordpress site on your own computer. but to be honest it's probably more hassle than it's worth.
