I have a copy of Spyder2pro which I bought about 4 years ago - I have upgraded the OS on my Mac since I bought it.

I now get a message when I try to load the app - "You carnet open the application, Spyder2Pro.app because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

Is there anything that I can do other than buy the latest version - the hardware and the software.

I have searched the internet but cannot find an answer

The Spyder2Pro used what would now be called legacey software. It relied on an inclusion within the OSX operating system called Rosetta Stone. This enabled code written for the PPC to run on latest Intel based Macs. Support for Rosetta was dropped with OSX 10.7 as this 64 bit OS and Rosetta as far as I know was a 32 bit code

You could revert your OS back to OSX 10.6 which would run Rosetta but anything requiring 64 bit OS would not then run.

The only alternative is to purchase a new unit either the new Spyder or similar from X-Rite

you need a spyder 4 had to upgrade my spyder 3 as that would not work either i read on the apple web site they will not work.hth mike
