Hi

Is anyone using Spyder2 Express here?

I just got one delivered today and after my desktop monitor's calibration, my screen looks reddish/pinkish.

On my laptop, I don't see any difference after calibration.

What do you think?

try running it again. My screen changed colour and became "warmer" after calibration as well although I knew it was too blue to start with.

Hi Strobefreak i have this and my screen looks reddish/pinkish al so.
PM me your msn addy i got somthing you may like

Don't know if these comments can help.

After a few minutes does your screen still look red. An uncalibrated screen is very blue, the WB point is around 9000K. When you calibrate it you bring it down to around 6500K. This will make it look warmer than the original balance. However the eye soon adjusts to the new "look"

Check you White balance point is it about 6500K or is it a lot warmer. Around 5000K it will look warm, Probably the best WB point for the UK is about 6500K.

Did you use the advanced setting method or the easy or simple one. Sometimes letting the software do all the work gets a better and more linear result. Try setting your monitor back to "Factory Defaults" and then let the software do it all for you.

I would suggest, if you can set these things,in auto mode the following values. White Balance 6500K (or you may see it as D65) Gamma 2.2, Brightness between 120-140 cd/m2

See how that goes

Or you could have monitor like mine which allows for colour temp adjustment but doesn't list 6500k just sRGB which is around 6500k if I'm correct.
