Am thinking of putting an ad in the wanted section for one of these, but need to be sure that it supports Win 7 first?

Is there any great difference for calibrating my LED laptop display between this and Spyder Express? On a tight budget at the mo, so can't stretch to a 3....

TIA

SPyder express is for use with one monitor only whereas the Spyder Pro will do multiple monitor setups. I have one because I have 2 screens.

The Express is compatible with Windoze 7

If your looking at printing when you have the dosh get a Spyder print.

Don't be tempted into the boxed set, it costs more than the two together and your paying for a fancy case nothing else.

Thanks - can you possibly explain the 'one monitor only' thing to me? I don't see how it could possibly only do a single display?

I would guess Chris means Spyder 2 won't calibrate two screens attached to the same computer. I have a Spyder 2 and I've had no problem calibrating separate screens on separate pc's.

Ah, right, ok.... thanks.

Yup DekHog

I have a pc with two screens attached, it means I can watch TV on one and photoshop on another or photoshop on one and sort my pictures on the other. You get the picture.

The Spyder express will only allow you to profile 1 screen per PC.

The Spyder 2 Express only calibrates your primary monitor. It does not support multiple monitor systems (including laptops with external displays). Well, not officially anyway, but there are ways around it if you want to start delving into the registry and doing funky things every time you wanna calibrate your screens.

I had a Spyder 2 Express. When I needed to upgrade to a system that had multiple monitor support, I went for the Eye One Display 2 instead. Definitely more accurate.

Not much chance of me ever using dual display anyway, so it'll do fine for my purposes.... thanks.

As I said, the Spyder 2 Express wasn't as accurate as the Eye One Display 2, and the price difference is definitely worth it imo. There's also the Eye One Display LT (which is the same thing, except like the Spyder 2 Express, only supports a single monitor).

So, I'd consider looking at the Eye One Display LT as well.

...WAY too expensive for me at the moment.... maybe at some point in the future...

Got a brand new Spyder 2 from Stuart at Digital Depot for £45 delivered, so it'll do for my needs - I only looked at the prices for Eye One on Amazon and they were around the £100 mark... am not convinced about how successful these things are on LED laptop screens without the wide gamut of some monitors anyway, so pretty cheap to suck it and see....

Well, they'll be as accurate as that monitor is able to get really.
