Anybody on here have a paid account on spotify ,if so .. i'm curious to know what kind service your getting .

i dont have a paid account, just the free one.

A good friend of mine has a paid account though and he speaks very highly of it. He streams all his music to his phone, and can play music off line from his phone too, which I think would be pretty sweet.

I just think it is quite steep TBH.

I upgraded to premium after they changed their terms and conditions last month, severely restricting the free account.

I'm impressed. I have my phone synced to it, and offline mode means that you can listen to all your playlists offline, I listen to it in the car and throughout the house!

Who needs itunes?

Is that the £5.00 quid a month subscription or the more expensive one?

I've been toying with for a while as well but can't decide what to do.

its the more expensive one, you can only use the spotify mobile app with the most expensive account. It may sound a lot but when you look at the bigger picture it's a complete bargain.

any playlists you have can be synced to your ipod touch/iphone, android device or laptop. Which basically downloads all the tracks on the playlist to that device. You also get tracks at a higher bitrate (improving sound quality).

You get all the music you could ever want for the cost of buying one CD a month. (there are some artists that you can't get on Spotify, but it's never really been an issue for me)

If I just wanted it on my pc, i'd go for the £5 a month. If you use mobile devices, go for the more expensive one.

Give it a try for a month, there's no tie-in period :)

I've given the free spotify a try a number of times but I've never been keen. A lot of the time they don't have the bands I'm looking for and the new terms make using it for free worthless. If I was to pay for their service it'd have to substitute all other music purchases, and for the time being they're far too slow to cotton on to new bands for me to like their service.

Have to say I'm not convinced enough to pay for it,it serves me well enough apart from the bloody adverts .

Hi,

if you have an Android phone or iPhone you can stream your own music from your PC via t'internet using Audiogalaxy, ok your PC must be left on ( Duh ! ), and it uses your contract internet allowance but it works very well and of course playing your own music is free ;)
