Virtually verbatim, the remark my 80 year old father made when I showed him the letter. What is the world coming to when elderly parents know about sex not related to reproduction? :gag:

Anyway, do you think I should complain to the editor?

"Dear Sir

I am somewhat disturbed that in the last edition you published a letter submitted by someone choosing to conceal their true identity behind what is quite evidently a soubriquet, and rather a rude one at that.

Yours in disgust,
Seymour Cox"

Had to go out in the rain and rescue my copy from the recycling. Wonder if anything about it will be printed in the issue that goes on sale today? Most likely not as it's still on't Web: http://www.meltontimes.co.uk/letters/Upbringing.5529372.jp
Nope, nothing in today's issue about it and no other rude names on the letters page either. What a shame :(

The Coxwell Inn... isn't that in the charming hamlet of Herbum near Tillit?

Incidentally, isn't Mr Litteris the famous glosstortionist? Yes, thought so, he's a tongue twister...
