Sports pic desk email list

Probably just a bit of naiveté on how it all works (I hope)

Although Gary/Kipax et al if you wouldn't mind, buying me camera equipment, taking photos in the p***ing rain/snow etc etc for me then sending me a cheque, i'd be very grateful!! ;)
 
If you established guys just want to share with/help each other then do it peer to peer and keep your powder dry on what is, when all is said and done, a public forum. Getting hold of email addresses ain't rocket science but sharing might just be a way of saving someone else a bit of time and effort. I'm not likely to lose any sleep over it either way.
 
So it being a public forum means exactly that and we do appear to be members of the public, if it aint rocket science then go do it yourself and share the results with everyone who wants it but dont lose any sleep over it.
 
TP is made great by knowledge sharing and helping others which Gary and Kipax do well (they are two of the main names in this forum).

Don't see what issue it causes as long as its going to someone working in a different area. its not exactly as if I would take something from gary then work in his area. We (most of us in here) are 100's of miles apart so helping others isn;t really all that bad is it?
 
You are of course correct Steven, however i have helped some people locally who since then s*** on and undercut me which was part of the reason i ended up quitting
 
Wow, thats harsh. does make you wonder why you bother if that happens right under your nose

I know the feeling, Just like wildlife photography aswell if you give a 'trusted' 'mate' a great location he turned up telling another guy that told another guy and so on and now the location is pants.

some time ago on here i gave a load of info on how you send pics to papers.. the do and donts... i got some nasty messages with the general jist being.. why am I making it harder for everyone by letting every tom dick and harry know how its done?

seems i cant do right for doing wrong sometimes.. i dont really care who gets upset with me.. no one ever has the backbone to say anything to my face.... but saying that.. I am here because i enjoy it.. not to get moaned at...
