Yes
I know people shoot indoor sports at F2 quite a lot (well from I have read on here at on POTN) e.g. with the EF135/2 in poorly lit gyms etc.

I normally shoot rugby/football at F2.8 or F4.

I just wondered if anyone had shot rugby/football at F2 and got some good results as I was thinking of trying it this coming Sunday for an experiment with my 200/2.

If so any examples? Also anything to consider?

Or examples of other sports would be nice to see as well.

It will be great to be back on the sidelines after the Christmas break (for my kids matches) :)

I've sometimes gone to f1.8 on my 200mm lens.
Wouldn't do it on that all the time, but it does have its use.
DOF will be quite shallow, so it works nicely when you get single players battling for the ball, or wheeling away after scoring..
Also used it indoors for some basketball - and it works, although British venues are limited size so tend to only use it in the European games...

Gracias.

Hi Rob I've happily shot indoor sports at f2 but not so much outside although here is one form the weekend at f2.2....
