Well done JB, F1 World Champion, feel sorry for Barrichello would have at least liked to see him win his home GP.
Well done to Webber for a faultless drive to win the race too.

:clap::clap: Well done Jenson....

i agree, shame Barrichello didnt win his home race for a change, but quite an exciting race and Jenson did some awesome driving..

Forgot, Well done to Brawn team too for taking the constructors Championship.

Awesome drive from JB - great to see Brawn winning both titles and coming 2nd in the drivers champ. Looking forward to seeing what Ferrari et al come out with next season to challenge...

Great job Jenson, well done. Well chuffed for a another Brit to be world champion again. Also, must say, bit gutted for Barrichello as he's always been a great racer, true gent aswell.

Who would have said, when Honda decided to pull out, that the team which took it over would have the World Champion at the end of the season plus the constructors title. Well done Brawn.

Jensons overtaking at the start was awesome, brilliant stuff to see.

Lucky i wasnt trying to avoid the result as when i read the title, i thoguht you meant the spoiler on the car :D

Tweaked it now just for any other numpties :p

Was a good race! shame for barri but good to see Button finally get it.

That was a great race. The first couple of laps, tremendous excitement. Was wanting it to go down to next week.

JENSON IS THE MAN well done lad..(anyone that was in york will know me and know where i am coming from)

I think this is the first time I have cried at the end of race since Murray's [in]famous 'I have to stop now, I have a lump in my throat' comment when Hill won.

Well done Jenson, Well done Brawn, just occasionally, you can forget the usual F1 rubbish and just enjoy the pleasure :D:D

i'm still crying...and yes i cried at the hill thing as well.. as the first race this year...

Congrats to JB and Brawn, both very worthy winners!! Possibly the most exciting race of the year too in terms of incidents and overtaking

ah poo-dles, I might have to drive north to share the last race too. You on for it Terri? ;)

when is it what time is it ....**** yes why not even got a spare room now

...and added to JL's title edit, just to be totally sure ;)

Thanks for the title tweaks, I thought my original would have been enough.:lol:
Had to laugh at Webber on the podium as he got very few cheers or reaction due to everyone obviously concentrating on Jenson.

Get in there! Fantastic race, superb drive from Button - those overtakes were awesome. He thoroughly deserves to be champion.

Congrats to Brawn GP as a team for the constructors.

I was actually quite amused by the crowd reaction when Jense jumped from car in parc ferme....virtually nothing at all, then he and Woobens hugged and suddenly the volume of crowd reaction increased noticably ;)

Delighted for Jenson. I remember him in his first ever single-seater race and I feel as if I've watched him grow up through the ranks. I feel so proud whenever I see one of "my" drivers do well.

Good result for Jenson, im surprised tbh, i thought Rubens was going to give him a good run and tke it to the final race, but very well done to Brawn, Jenson and Mercedes for the cracking engine.

I think Rubens will now skip off to Team Willy, Rosberg will take his place. Kimi will go to Mclaren and Jenson stay at Brawn.

Fantastic result, a well deserved title for JB and well done to Brawn in their first season.
Two british drivers winning back to back championships in british teams.
Who says we can't produce winning sports people.

Good result! JB has worked at it for years, and it's well deserved. And for Brawn too.

i aint a betting man , but it looks as though if i have read it right that the bookies have already got JB down as favourite for sports personality of the year

He did look like a champion again and it's always nice to see a Brit win :)

However I must admit I wanted Ruben's to win in front of his home crowd. He seems a really nice guy and is quickly approaching the end of his career. This would have been something for him to remember.

Really impressed withKobayashi too, I think he's one to watch.

Yes, congratulations Jensen for having a better car than anyone else.

You've been knocking on the door of the title for so long now it's great to see you finally clinch it :suspect:

/irony

Yes, congratulations Jensen for having a better car than anyone else.

for the first few races

I think he has been lucky aswell this season in the way that his rivals were taking points from each other

one week it would be Vettel, the next Rubens, then Webber, then the odd hamilton win which has made the season exiting to watch I must admit

heres hoping McLaren get there fingers out and build a fast car out of the box and not have the same woes as this season :bonk:

I wonder how Marc Hynes felt watching that last night? Marc beat Jenson to the 1999 British F3 title, ran out of money and only raced a couple more times. Jenson has been very lucky that nobody has been able to put together a good run of results this season. I'm not a huge Button fan but it is nice that we have another British world champion
