Splitting a photo exactly in two

Well actually, not quite a photo, more an album page.

If I design a page of say 20x10 inches and then I want to split it into two exact sizes of 10x10 inches so that I can order 10x10 prints is there an easy foolproof way of doing it?

Using elements 9 at the moment.

Just cant seem to get my head around a simple issue!

Set the crop tool to 10x10 and crop?

Yeah, thought of that.

I was wondering if I was missing a tool that does it automagically rather than saving the file, crop, save, re-open original, crop, save.

Maybe that's just what I'll have to do.

why do you need to re-open the original? save as and then just undo the crop step.

agreed. This might not create a perfect pixel half/half, but does what you want.
The only reason I say that, is the original picture might not be exactly 20x10
