Split Toning a colour image

Hi there.

I've been wanting to do this effect and up to now have not found a tutorial that caters for colour image. I want to split tone a colour image not a black and white one.

I have found this really easy tutorial that does the effect I'm after but it is for Lightroom using Lightrooms Split Toning sliders.

The thing is I don't have Lightroom but I do have Ps. Can someone tell me how I can do this in Ps please. I'm guessing it's just a simple case of moving some Curves but I'm unsure which. As the tutorial explains it's adding a blue tone to the shadows only.

Open image as camera raw and go to the split toning section. You can open JPEGs as camera raw if you want...

If this is the process used here then I am grateful. I just couldn't work out if it was split toning or cross processing.

Maybe it's not a simple process, I'm hoping it is. I did start a thread some time ago taking the first tentative steps to figuring it out...

It seems the bleach bypass process was mentioned but I finf BB too harsh and strong to be convinced.
