Are you talking about the Lovegrove courses ?
If so then I think both the DVD's and courses are great but given a choice I would always take the training course over the DVD's. Learning by watching someone first hand and then doing it yourself is a much better learning experience than watching a training DVD imo.
If your on a tight budget though the DVD's do make a good effort of imparting the same knowledge as the training course.

Matt spend your money and learn more on a one day course with Damian Mcgillicuddy, this man is FANTASTIC. I went on a studio light course yesterday, we used them for nearly ever shot. He was wearing a T shirt learn to earn. I promise you this man is the BEST, if you can manage the funds £195
