speedlight accessory kit - any good?

Simon
sorry - do you mean you have the diy jobby you linked to or the kit I linked to?

TBH all of these things are pretty useless.
Diffusers of that size don't make the light large enough to produce anything near to soft light, beauty dishes of that size don't behave like beauty dishes and you'd need a telescopic sight to aim a snoot of that size accurately enough to actually hit the target.

I did wonder about the snoot tbf - although I thought it might come in hand for when I need to decant my bottle of red of a friday night. All I can seem to find on the beauty dish side of things is DIY jobs.

My thoughts were on the bounce side, using a room wall or ceiling and stopping light from falling on subject. works for me. but I am a newbie at the moment.
I am looking at light and that but get frustrated when one image goes OK.

I've actually found the snoot to be quite useful for back-lighting hair as it comes with two grids and obviously restricts the light a great deal due to its size, it attaches fairly well to a speedlight with its velcro fastener but can be quite heavy on the moving part of the flash head. I've used it on SB600,800 and 900 buying the version to fit the 900 as standard. I didn't buy the rest of the kit as I wasn't convinced that the rest of the attachments would perform well.
