Put the saab through its paces over the last couple of weeks to see if its as good on the track as it is on paper.

On a 1 mile track it manages 130mph before I had to brake

today with roof down on the M62 we noticed it was going just over so I slowed down, we thought we were travelling at around 60ish......this car is a monster in disguise:eek:

you are really onlyscrewed if you went through an average speed camera. And as a former van driver i know all the loopholes when it comes to speed cameras and being pulled overl ol

The 130mph was on a private airfield so no worries there, the 100 on the M62 however does worry me as we didnt know.......we were just keeping up with traffic and overtaking the odd gran in her Berlingo and keeping up with the flow, if you know what I mean
 
Ahem we noticed it was a bit over 70.......cheers Bill, we honestly didnt know we were over the speed limit as it was smooth and ..........well we thought we were at 60-70 max as the roof was down
 
anyway these are supposed to be able to reach 150mph, and so far I can see it so without me trying and asking from a cell or the grave are these that fast

I bet the scuttle shake is "interesting" at those sorts of speeds as the 900 convertible's not the most rigid of vehicles....
 
Bloke I know was clocked at 143 & ihis solicitor is confident that he will get
off as he has said that the car was being road tested for potential sale :thinking:

The scuttle shake at 130 was enough to put me off trying for a top speed, and it got worse when braking but today we didnt get any it was just cruising but that was on a nice flat bit of motorway (till we noticed it was over a ton:eek:), the scuttle does rear its ugly head on side roads at 40ish though but still a nice car to drive over early convertibles like a Ford escort vert:lol:

By the way we thought we were going about 60 to 70 when I looked at the speedo and what a shock I got and it said 30.4mpg

My mum had an Escort cabrio in the 90s - I drove it once when she got it (new) and vowed never to drive it again :lol:

I was at an 80's themed party Saturday night, that hair style would have been perfect. :D

I can still grow mine, I just choose not to ;)
