Speedflash For Fuji XT1 ??

Not sure of the ttl flashes, but you could use the manual flash cactus R60, take a look at Damian lovegroves web site, its what he uses

I bought an ef42 off here for about £100. Never had to use it yet, f1.2 always seems to find a bit of light!

Allegedly the fuji uses the same pins and ttl protocols as canon. In theory you could use a canon (or canon fit) flash

If you chose to spend any money without checking this info for yourself before hand it's not my fault

The benefits of using immature technology I'm afraid. Fuji flash leaves a lot to be desired.

They can be used, somewhat. Here is the current thinking on using some Fuji's with YN622 remotes from the excellent 622 user guide at...

Fuji Cameras

• Some Fuji cameras will work in Remote Manual Control.

• Fuji X100, X100S and X-E1 have been reported to work in full remote Manual output and Zoom control, in 3 groups.

• High-speed sync up to 1/1000s has been reported.

• TTL and 2nd curtain sync are not available.

• The 622Cs are set to Remote mode.

• Compatible flashes, like the 580EXII must be used.

• The above cameras do not need Custom Function 04 Legacy Flash to be ON. The function is required only when the C-TX erroneously thinks that it is on a full E-TTL camera.

• Care is required when mounting the C-TX on the camera to ensure that the pins ride up and seat fully.

• Press the Test button after changing C-TX settings to update the remotes, before pressing the shutter.

• See page 45 for more detail on Custom Function 04.

If you are looking at Off Camrra Flash, look at the Cactus V6 triggers, which can be used with practically any flash designed for TTL use on Nikon, Canon or Pentax. These are manual only triggers, but with manual control of flash power from the camera. You need a separate transceiver for each flash, unless you use the Cactus RF60, which has a receiver built in.

I have just purchased a Fuji Xt1. Im really very pleased with its image quality. Im looking for a flash for. Does anyone know what works ?? Does the yongui range work on this camera ??

I use a Nissin i40 (for Fuji) with my Fuji-X cameras Glenn, and it works perfectly with full TTL dedication. I also have their universal sync lead for off camera flash which also works perfectly. I can thoroughly recommend these units.(y)

There's an i40 flash (for Fuji) for sale in the classifieds at this moment.

Does the Nissin Flash come with the sync lead or is it to be bought seperately, and if so have you an idea of the price please ??

Also thanks for your recommendation, it sounds like what i may be after.

No Glenn it doesn't come with a sync lead. The best lead to get is the "Nissin SC-01" universal shoe cord. I can't remember where I got mine from it would have been either Amazon or Ebay and as far as I can remember it was about £30.00 and far cheaper than from a local store.

With these units you will not go far wrong they are both excellent bits of kit and very well made.

Hope this helps.,

George.
