Speed bumps...

That's a cracker. I am sure that could be made into one of these funny Adolph Hitler spoofs.

If your car is SUV, a van or rental that's the way to do it :) It's been almost 2 weeks since I meet both conditions, and yes it is bloody good fun.

Just a bog standard hatchback that I have got, but when I pick the daughter in law up, there are speed bumps where she lives. She talks non stop rubbish while sitting in the back of the car, I go quickly over them and she hits her head on roof of car. It shuts her up for a little while :D
 
If I take either of the big cars to the supermarket, I drive an extra mile to avoid speed bumps. Wouldn't bother if they were proper humps that go all the way across the road but the cheaper pillows they use here (apparently to stop bus passengers suffering as the busses hurtle through unslowed...) knock the inside of the tyres out when you straddle them. The road concerned is too narrow to drive over the humps with one or both sides so straddling would be the only way down there. The s***box is narrow enough to get one side on and t'other off and if the tyres do get knackered by the humps, it'll be as cheap to do all 4 as to do one of the real cars' tyres!
Please note that I don't object to driving slowly down there (or elsewhere), just to those blasted speed pillows.
 
My mate owns a garage, last winter a customer came in early with a problem so they took it for a drive, near the bottom of the street was a pelican crossing , it was still dark

The day before they'd decided to install a speed bump but hadn't painted it

He hit it doing 30mph and it was a big one, the customers car took off

He told me after we'd landed I daren't even look at him, I just said, that wasn't there yesterday

I have figured out, if I sit a little to the left of the monitor, I block most of the screen from the missus. Although I did get caught looking at an image, of a busty lady with tattoos on this forum. Can't remember what section it was now, but the missus simply said, ohh she is very colourful. Another one I got away with ;)
 
Good job she thought you'd said "Nice set of tats."!!!
