Hi guys,

If I want to film pranks etc in the street. Which lens / wireless mic would you recommend?

Sort of Videos BigDaws makes?

I have a Canon 700D.

I want a wirelss mic where I can pick up sound from a distance so I will have to secure the mic to my t-shirt?

Also, what sort of lens will I need? Some sort of zoom lens?

Budget for mic, £250

Budget for lens, £500


Any other equipment I would need? Do they use anything to keep the camera steady?

Yep, I copy and pasted the message on a few videos, no reply. Thats why I thought I would ask on a photography forum
 
For the mic - search for " wireless lapel microphone " on Google and that gets you nice results to choose from, with lots of budgets.
I have a Sennheiser kit myself - but that's over your budget of £250.
But with a quick search - I think you should be OK with your budget. Just remember to look for a kit that has both transmitter and receiver.

For a lens ... I would definitely suggest a zoom and maybe with IS/OS .. as you can use slower shutter speeds while doing video, so the stabilisation will come handy while filming from a distance.
For day light conditions - guess the f2.8 would not be a must... look for something that goes at least up to 200mm on the zoom... as you don't want your 'video person' to be too close to you while you prank people. Guess you might be able to find some 70-200mm f2.8 lenses for £500 ...

From experience, I've seen it easier for these types of videos with camcorders, instead of DSLR.
Camcorders are more easily concealed - where as a DSLR with a 70-200 might be notices easier :-)

Maybe not exactly the answers you were after... but hopefully not totally useless either.
