Spec me a laptop....

Morning all,

My old core duo laptop is starting to show it's age now, so I'm in the process of persuading the missus to let me buy an upgrade.... ;-)

On a budget of 450 quid tops, can somebody recommend a decent laptop - ideally as futureproof as possible, not fussed about brand names, and will mainly be used for browsing, editing photos and watching videos.

Any suggestions welcome!

The rule for image editing is a fast processor (you won't do better than the i5-2540M for £450), as much memory (8G is preferred, but 4G will do if you don't use a lot of programs at the same time) and as big a HDD as you can get away with.
