Spartacus my 52...Week 26 Night...Sorry I’m late...:(

Excellent, and so simple

Well done Marcus. A simple shot of a very complex component of a complex mechanism. I like it

Magnificent in both concept and execution! Such a simple representation of complex!

Great detail , well lit and well composed

I can only agree with Johns comments, well done sir:thumbs:

Hi Marcus

Emotion - I love them all but for me No1 is the best. Edge to edge emotion and such great colours and clarity :clap::clap:

Complex - for someone who was struggling and blowing raspberries at me you have produced a stunning shot. If I had one I'd take my hat off to you :lol:

Great shots, just as I've come to expect from you

It’s been a better week for me this week so I’ve managed to get in my shot earlier than of late...:D

This is something that I’ve wanted to do for a while now and although it not the best picture I’ve ever taken it is one that I enjoyed doing...

To me this is what the 52s are about; trying out things you don’t do normally or never tried...

So this shot is a Time lap’s photo with 8 shots in one, as I said not perfect by any standard but something very new to me...

Things I’ve learnt this week

1.Try something new and your be presently surprised...;)

2. Birthday candles burn very quickly so don’t hang around playing with setting after you have lit it...:nono:

3.Leave at least one candle for the main shoot...

Good idea that works well, the perspective is slightly strange with it being a birthday candle, the flame looks huge.

Other than that its really good, I think if you had did this with a full sized candle it would have been a stunner, as it is, its still a very strong shot fitting the theme very well.

Ooh, very clever and well pulled off. Top stuff!

 well done  that fits the theme perfectly and a great resulting image that wouldn't look amiss in this months comp either.

Bloody genius :)

Superb idea so well executed (again!)

You've come up trumps here Marcus - that is time in motion! Excellent!

interesting shot...
wish I could see those 8 shots....i get to 6 ;)

Well spotted Jeff...I've had another look at how I did it and it's only 7... I remember now taking one out because it was taken to soon and didn't allow enough spacing between shots and lost the overall effect I was looking to achieve.

The one you can't see is at the very end and has no flame at all...:p

Ohh very clever, a real experiment in time. One of my favourite interpretations on this weeks theme:clap:

Complex - lovely detail and you have done what I could not do. Flight was the first thing I thought of for complex but I just couldn't get a shot to illustrate it.

Time - Great idea and take on the theme. Well done for trying something new - I think you've pulled off a great shot

We I thought we were due an easy week soon, but it never comes when you want one...:shake:

Unfortunately I’m away all weekend so it’s been a terrible rush to come up with something...

All but three of these were taken this week so I apologise for the slight cheat...:gag:

As you can see from my effort this week I get my Inspiration from almost anything so thought I would put in a small montage of these together...:D

Things I’ve learnt this week

1.It can be still fun to take photos under pressure...;)

2.If you don’t have a plan B you got to make it work...

3.I’m so waiting for an easy theme for next week...

I like it, that's very well put together, and shows what is about in your area too. I think you could be waiting for a long time for point 3....

Bloody genius :)

Superb idea so well executed (again!)

You've come up trumps here Mark - that is time in motion! Excellent!

I can´t say better than that, what a fantastic interpretation and well done for getting out of your comfort zone :clap:

Inspiration, fantastic montage and certainly something I would never have thought of doing so that makes us even over the last couple of weeks :D

As for #3, it´s horses for courses I guess. This week´s theme couldn´t be a worse one for me at the moment :(

I think this works very well. Fab colours and plenty of choice. Well done

Another great idea for the week and well presented too. I'm amazed (or should that be inspired) by the creativity of you lot, superb.

Mark

Clever interpretation and well compiled :) Nice part of the world you're in Marcus :)

(and apologies for the incorrect name check in my last post! Senior moment!)

Well didn’t manage to get out much this week and decided early on that I

wouldn’t be photographing any building sites. So in the end I had to come up

with something suitable around the house, so here it is:

The development of some of my Photographic storage from past to present...

developmentfinalcopy.jpg

Things I’ve learnt this week
1.Even with a bit more time on my hands I’m still struggling...:(
2.Don’t rule out things too early or you start to regret it...:shake:
3.If in doubt ask your other half for ideas, because it makes them feel good...

Well, it just shows you don't have to go out to get a good, interesting shot. :) I thought about developing in the film sense, but I don't have any handy darkroom equipment now, but I never thought about photographic storage. You've got a nice potted history here from 35mm negs to DVD and pen drive. Plenty to look at and something all of us can identify with.

Well done from me. :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Well done Marcus, it fits perfectly, and is well lit. That's quite a collection. I'm not sure I could find any 35mm negs anymore..

Excellent idea and a well taken shot. ;)
Jon

Sorry for my absence, here is my catch up.

Complex:
Complex yet simple this is an excellent shot. It has great colour, clarity, composition and lighting.

Time:
Very very clever!!

Inspiration:
I love the montage. All or any of these shots would be stunning on their own, yet they are stunning as a group. Reminds me of a tourism advert.

Development:
Again very clever, and would work perfectly for the time and history themes as well.

a lovely set of photos.:clap:

Ok it’s the same old story again for me this week...:p

I’m away again all weekend with my wife to Woolacombe Bay in a caravan.
It’s been another rush to get my photos in before leaving.

So there I was out and about last night trying to get my shots before I lost the light, so this is my version of freedom...

Freedom can mean so much to different people, but freedom to me is my other love and one which my darling wife does approve.

I’ve been involve with Suzy from the start of 2002 and we have some wonderful moments together, some more fun than others...

So last evening I headed for one of my favourite spots Dartmoor, it’s only 20 minutes away from my home and has some wonderful views.

Freedom to me is that long stretch of road and just me and Suzy, so I hope I can give you a small feel of the joy I get from being out on two wheels and an open road...:love::love:

Reshoot (Just for fun)

Being out on the moor and only a few minutes away I had a funny moment, you know when you think that would be a fun shot. So here it is...:D

prisonshot3.jpg

It’s the same old Suzy, but with Dartmoor Prison in the background...He He He bet there are a few people in there who would love to get there Freedom back...
