Wow, very contrasty.

I do like it. Loads of interest in there with the supporting beams, the building underneath the lift and wooden structure on top.

It shows all the structure, but I can't help thinking there's a better composition in there, that would really emphasise the bigness. Maybe closer to the LHS looking up :thinking:

Not been about for a while sorry for not commenting more

I love the angle of view for Big love the conversion and the sense of scale provided by the buildings.

Never been but its on my list. I know its an amazing bit of engineering mom and dad have actually been on it with their boat.

Metal (Reshoot) - That's an interesting picture. At first (quick) glance I thought it was housing / flats, but it obviously wasn't once I went back to it for a proper look. What is it?
Big - Ah, the wonderful boat lift. Has it re-opened to boats yet? Been there twice, but that was before the kids, so must be nearly 20 years now. The mechanism was in pieces then, great food in the pub along the canal though :)
Are you halfway down the embankment that the canal sit on?
