weekly Sparrow's 52, 2016 -Week 38 and 39 metal reshoot and big added

Loving the colours of the small centre flowers in your floral image, what is it ??
Thanks Dean. The flower is an hydrangea - it's flowered a little later than usual but all the rain has helped it to look pretty good now.

Wow Liz, your life photo is great, sharp, colourful, detailed, perfect DoF. Very, very good.

Nice take on hidden, the cat blends in well with the tree.

Excellent detail in Life - that dusting of pollen is awesome. As for Hidden, that is my fave of the two - like the way you have managed to retain detail and sharpness in the cat in the depths of all that light blocking foliage.

Hi Liz

Now that's great image for Life the details and colours in your flower image with the wasp is fantastic.

Hidden I really like that the colours of your cat really help him/her blend in to it's surroundings.

It seems ages since I've visited your thread Liz - apologies! You've posted some great shots recently - I love the simple shot with its clever processing and lovely composition. Your life is spot on with a wonderful flower as well as the detail in the pollen covered insect. Hidden is definitely my favourite though - great composition again...I'm waiting for the Cheshire cat grin to come through the branches!

Thanks Dean:) Think I must have been lucky with the 'life' shot I was short of time and it was just hand held:)

Thanks Emma:). No need for apologies, I haven't kept up with the themes and have only got round to catching up this past week - hopefully I can get better organised from now on:)

Very original take on the theme Liz - good thinking. I could question whether you've posted it in the right thread ... but I won't.

Hi Liz, well ahead of me ! Really like the bee and the detail. Especially the flowers against the bee. The cotton reels is a nice take on the theme and works well for me. Just the right amount of detail and light

I'm hopeless with bees and things, don't have the right lens for it ... That looks good to me, but my eye is drawn to the in-focus flower, but it's all life isn't it!

Woo ... it's that cat again, what a beaut!

Lone is a good idea ... all nice & neat.

Lone is a very original idea and nicely done.

Hi Liz great idea for Lonely lovely bright colours and some lovely lighting too

Flora - I'm really not a flowers type of bloke, but I do like the colours
Active - Kitten in a tree, what's not to like :) Good use of DoF to make her stand out from the background.
Life - Very crisp/sharp shot there of a horrible buzzy thing
Hidden - Emily again :) She does blend in well. Slight crit in that the branches in front of her have focus, rather than Emily herself.
Lone - Nice take on the theme, the colours are captured well and it's nicely sharp.

Flora - I love the mixture of colours nice clear shot.
Active - The Oof background really makes Emily stand out she has striking markings
Life - very sharp image of both the flower and the bee great detail
Hidden - Emily blends in well she'll be catching birds for you soon.
Lone - Love the colours good take on the theme.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I have been absent for a while but hopefully will catch up in time.

Week 32 - Static

The movement in this watch has been static for a very long time.

Slimy little blighters seem to multiply in the rain. Nice composition Liz .... I take it shutter speed wasn't a great consideration? I like the subject for Static - nice square crop and excellent detail.

I've been waiting for the conkers to fall to use as photo subjects. Nicely taken Liz - particularly like the sheen and texture . Serene is certainly that

Game is a great idea, nice shiny clunkers, do kids still play I wonder? The lake view is very serene, and as a catch up I like your Fauna and static too.
