Congratulations :) nice to get some recognition and "exposure"

Sorry for the pun but someone had to :) well done though, love the star shots, amazing

well done, how did you do the star ones? what lens did you use for these? they are great

Congrats, they are some awesome images! :D

Well done, the first picture is amazing. How did you take that picture?

Thanks all.

For the optics..

1) A 600mm refractor (telescope, with an 80mm aperture, f/7.5... 24x5 minutes at ISO800, on a guided tracking mount)

2) The humble nifty fifty (EF50mm mkII), the details are in the border.

Astounding work there!! I am often pondering having a go at astrophotography

Great job!! As happy for you if it were me. I like the third one best....

First and thrid are a amazing shots, well done. Fourth to me is a bit muggled! But technically great.

Thanks all...

Andy, it's not simple, and is yet another large money pit ;)...

Eric... Muggled  not with you sorry...

Max, what I have is considered to be at the bottom end of the astrophotography game... There are many people out there with mounts that cost far more than my entire setup, hell cooled, dedicated mono cameras that cost far more than my entire setup. As ever, it's not what, but how :D... find the limits, smack em with a hammer and see how you go :D... The theory is that you should not be able to do that Jupiter image with my small and modest kit for instance as an 80mm aperture scope doesn't have the resolving power, and 600mm focal length is a tad short... but as you can see ;)...
