Sony Viao scroll mousepad help

Hi All - I have a Sony Viao laptop (18 months old) and for some reason the scroll function on the right hand side of the mousepad has stopped working. I use this function all the time and wondered if anyone else has had this problem or know what can be done to fix it?

All sorted - FWIW I did a Windows update and it's solved.

Was this Windows 7?

As I lost that functions when I installed W7 instead of Vista.

Yes Windows 7. The only thing I'd done is install Internet Explorer 9. Seems fine now though.
