Sony RX100 II with flash

I've used my RX100 mainly as a point and shoot but would like to explore the possibility to use it with flash in a home studio setting. I have various flash units and brands, mainly Nikon versions. Would it be the easiest way to try the RX100 with these flashguns by just using a remote trigger and adjust the flash units manually?
 
Can you use the flashes in slave mode, responding to the RX100's flash?
