Currently using a Lowepro Portland 20 and although the Sony fits in very nicely, the fact that the case has 2 compartments means that it is just a bit too bulky when in (say) a handbag. I appreciate that I could plough through pages of camera case dimensions to find an alternative but just wondering if any fellow members have discovered a case (any manufacturer) which fits the Sony "like a glove". With this in mind, I would not be looking at any leather type case exactly contoured to the camera body. Many thanks.

Interesting question. I use a Sony LCS-CSW case which is pretty compact but still a little bulky depth wise though,

Enough room for a spare battery and SD card, but not what I'd call fitting "like a glove".

there are small lowepro neoprene cases that really are a perfect fit, adds almost no bulk and can be picked up for a few quid

I have owned 3 nersions of the RX100, and in the search for a suitable quality of case, tried various cases by various manufacturers: far and away the best (IMO), and the only one that fitted like the proverbial glove, was Sony's own case LCS- RXG (y). It is made of fine leather, nicely trimmed in soft velvet material. It holds the camera vertically rather than horizontally, and holds it very securely and safely, and also very accessibly. The only trouble is the price, as it is rather expensive :grumpy: (or at least was so when I bought mine), but I considered it fully worth the price. It is (IMO) streets ahead of any other option

The pic below shows the camera in the case. It is seen lying sideways, but of course hangs vertically in use. The flap to the left is the top end, and folds down over the camera, clicking shut onto the stud at the bottom of the cae (right side as seen here). It is very tight and compact.

funny enough i go rid of that one for the little lowepro. i found the sony added to much bulk in comparison

Looks fab, and was tempted to get one myself until I just looked at the price...

Just wanted to say thanks for all the helpful advice. Think I'll purchase one of those Lowepro "Melbourne" pouches.
