I'm finding my Sony 50mm for the A6000 is too long for indoor family shots and the kit lens doesn't cut it so I'm wondering if a 35mm or 30mm would be a good choice, which would be around the 50mm full frame equivalent on this cropped sensor camera?
I'm not looking to spend much though as it's just for leisure and was initially looking at the Sony 35mm but the Sigma 30mm gets good reviews and although it's only 2.8 compared to the Sony 1.8 and also doesn't have optical stability unlike the Sony, I find that due to the speed of the children the shallow 1.8 can be hard to nail with my 50mm so could have the same issue with the Sony 35mm.
Is the Sigma any good?
Sorry, title should have said Sigma 30mm
