sony/minolta wireless flash?

Hi,
I'm considering buying a "Minolta Flash Gun 3600 HS (D) Wireless"
off E-bay.I have a sony a100 and believe this fires the flash without connecting anything else to the camera, is this right?(i'm a nubee)
Also is about £85-95 a good price for this flash or does anyone know of a better deal or flash?

hi andy,i'm not sure about minolta flashguns,but the sony derivatives all fire wirelessly..using the on board flash to fire it.as for the price..you can get a brand new sony HVL-F42AM flash for around the £130 mark,so not a lot more for the newer one...might be worth shopping around for the best deals :shrug:
