Sony lenses for hire?

Does anybody know of a place that hires out Sony lenses?

I got an anguished call today from a local professional photographer whose lens has just died and he's looking to hire a temporary replacement to tide him over a couple of weddings. I couldn't help him, but if anybody has any suggestions then I'd be happy to pass them on.

Or if anybody in the Maidenhead/Bracknell area has Sony gear which they wouldn't mind lending / renting to this guy, I could put you in touch.

I believe that he now has the rental stock from the former Minolta Club (UK) so your pro may have to join PhotoclubAlpha to get access to it.

You not thinking of hopping on the Sony bandwagon Stewart? Must admit I wouldn't mind having the fall back option if ever I needed a lens for a one off shoot.

I left my email with this place earlier in the year, they said that they'd let me know once they had got stocked up with Sony fit lenses, so far I haven't heard anything back.
