Hello everyone, just bought entry level sony200 its great fun, however read loads about getting a better lens for it like a 200af telephoto, but dont know which and how much to pay or e,bay ? any advice please?

What kind of focal length do you have in mind?
200mm?
300mm?
More?!

And how much did you want to spend roughly?

Have a look at the link in my signature about the Sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro.
It's a great lens, long focal length, can produce some excellent quality shots and can be purchased for around £100 or so.........
 
Hi thanks for that, i am thinking about 200mm focal length,and i know you get what you pay for so i thought that a reasonable telephoto and a macro should cover my needs, i will have a good look at that link and get back , thanks for the help .
 
Hi Andy, i had a look at the 70-300 sigma, seems like a good lens for the price of £99.99, its also got a decent macro facility with a switch to put it in macro mode, so it looks like its on the list for next week, cheers,.

No worries :thumbs:
It's a highly regarded lens for it's low price, and some more searching on Google will give you some samples pictures of this lens I'm sure.

Unless you plan to spend a few more hundred £'s at least, I don't think you'll get much better.
