Can anyone recommend a CHEAP Sony hotshoe adapter, so I can connect my Alpha to radio triggers?

Have tried a cheap Yongnuo YN-H3 and it doesnt seem to work properly (only fires when the pop-up flash is also firing... not good when trying to use studio flash) and cant afford £100 for the Sony FA-HS1AM one (and I dont like the fact they make you buy a seperate adapter for pc-sync socket)

So... I cant get hold of an original FS-1100 any more, so, which of the cheaper copies are most likely to work?

I think any cheap ones you find (especially from HK) will be rebranded Yongnuo ones....

Flash, you do seem to be very helpful AND know your stuff...

Annoyingly I simply cant afford £100 for a hotshoe adapter WITHOUT pc-sync (not that you suggested thats what I did)...

On the gadget infinity site there are 2 pin and 4 pin versions.. does this make much difference (do both work the same way)?

Only found the same on ebay too... I'm now starting to realise why I should have got canon/nikon.... :(

But I prefered the feel/features of the Sony!

As the Alpha 350 doesnt have pc-sync... I need some kind of adapter to use studio flash, and its just bugging me! Wish a £5 adapter would work... anyone found one that does?

Photomart? Speedgraphic?

Have taken a look but cant find anything, all I can find anywhere is the 2 pin and 4 pin types available on Gadget Infinity and ebay...

Rebranded YN-H3's so you think? Should I risk another one in the hope it might work... and do the 2 pin and 4 pin versions work differently?

the Minolta/Sony flash system is usually rated above the Canon 1 but inferior to the Nikon.
On the other hand you get wireless with your Sony "for free" but if you had bought a D40/D60 you would have had to cough up more to get the same capability.

I rarely use flash but this chap may have an idea http://www.alphastrobist.com/ or you could try posting at http://www.photoclubalpha.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=10&sid=4d451c55cab546d640ed2bbbe5e7126d as David Kilpatrick probably has a clue.
