I have got one of these and wondering if it is possible to get any comaparatively good pics out of them? I have seen a few IPhone threads where the pics are actually quite good so just wondering if it is just the auto settings make a hash of the pics or if the camera itself is poor?

I am using Adroid 1.6 at the min but O2 are due to release the 2.1 update sometime this millenia.
 
Had mine just 1 month, upgraded mine to android 2.1

I have taken a few photos, good in daylight but not too good in low light.

Think the X10s camera is about the same quality of the HTC Hero and yeah you cant polish a turd lol.

Vignette I have found to be fantastic for not only making low light photos better (you can set it to overexpose and wait for steady hands to take a shot) but also has some really interesting effects for a bit of point and shoot fun!

I got my X10 Mini Pro about 2 months ago (on O2) and mine is still running 1.6.
How did you update to 2.1? if i connect it into SE's update function via the PC it says it's up to date already. :bonk:

The camera isn't toobad! Have you worked through all the different settings? And/or how you use it?
 
I dunno, I dont have too much problem with mine, though as has been said, it is shocking in low light.
I've downloaded a few bits for the camera thing, fxcamera and retrocam being the two that stayed on the phone.

I have the X10 mini and connected it via the PC Companion software and an update was available..

I have read on other forums that the updates are at different times for x10,x10 mini and x10 mini pro..

So maybe they have not released the x10 pro update yet...

Some apps still dont work because they are for 2.2, but there is now a better choice of apps..

Further to this, your provider can influence the timescale. Although 2.1 is available for the x10, vodafone havent released their abomination yet, and if I update to the Sony Ericsson version, it invalidates the warranty
 
I've had 2.1 on my O2 SE X10 (standard branded) for about a week now.
