I'm thinking of buying the Sony E 10-18mm f4 OSS Lens for my A6000.
Apart from the high price, I'm particularly concerned by the number of adverse user reports (mainly from the US) on this lens.
Most of the comments are about (lack of) sharpness and particularly one side of the image being sharper than the other, even when stopped down.
This is often attributed to "de centering" of the lens elements, but I understand there can be other contributing factors.
Can I please ask for any real life user comments on this lens, did you get a good one first time or did it have to exchanged/repaired before it performed well?
I realise that this type of lens rarely performs best wide open, so I'm expecting to come down a stop or two to get optimum performance.
Like most of the Sony E series lenses this is not cheap, but I'm willing to meet the cost provided I can get something that performs correctly "out of the box" without endless hassles of returning/repairing the thing.
