sony cashback

does anyone know if the sony cashback offers apply to all stores or just certain ones
looking for a sony compact for the other half. its got £40 cash back at amazon
well the cashback is a sony one and there is a link to a sony claims form
another site also as this sony offer, but not all store do, also i cant find it on sonys web site
anyone shed any light on it
the amazon price is good , but ive found another site that i can get more cash off with quidco but they dont advertise the sony cashback offer

About a month ago I was in a Sony shop looking at the dsc-hx9v it is still showing £40 cashback and at the time the cashback was available where ever I looked, comet, sony shop, online shops etc
