SONY and RAW

does the sony alpha 350 have a different kind of RAW format to other cameras.. just nothing i can use will open the raw files?

All camera manufacturers have different RAW formats.

I'm guessing you're on a Windows machine as Macs can view them fine.

There is a vista plugin to let it view Alpha .ARW images, or image editing programs like Photoshop can view them. Also your camera will have come with some software to enable viewing and processing of the files.

yeah i think it does, just means i have to fanny about and i dont like fanning about lol...

Didn't your camera come with the usual sony software? There should be a RAW converter within that.
